As the Chief Operating Officer of Research for Better Teaching, Ms. Ross Denny oversees the general operations of the company including client services, finance, and marketing. She began her career in management consulting with Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group where she spent several years advising clients in the areas of strategic sourcing and business process redesign. She then took these skills to serve small businesses as a consultant in a non-profit business incubator before returning to business school. After business school, Ms. Ross Denny joined the Microsoft Corporation and the H.J. Heinz Company in marketing and brand management. During this period, she was actively involved in K-12 education as a volunteer and was drawn into public education through the Broad Residency in Urban Education. She spent the last decade with the Boston Public Schools where she was the Deputy of Human Resources and the Boston College Lynch School of Education as the Director of New Initiatives with the City Connects program.
Ms. Ross Denny has a bachelor degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her master of business administration from the Harvard Business School.
